About Marco Bellini

Marco Bellini is a European day-trip specialist who has spent the last decade exploring every corner of Europe by train, bus, and guided tour. From the white cliffs of Dover to the hill towns of Tuscany, Marco has tested hundreds of day trips — the good, the bad, and the ones that miss the last train home.

Marco doesn't accept free tours or sponsored stays. Every review is based on personal experience, paid for at market price. When a day trip is terrible, Marco says so. When it's overpriced, Marco tells you the cheaper alternative. This site exists because most day-trip advice online is recycled marketing copy.

How I Review

Every tour, route, and recommendation on this site passes through three filters:

  1. I've done it — or I've interviewed someone who has, and I disclose which.
  2. I've priced it — against the DIY alternative and against competitors.
  3. I've timed it — the 08:37 from Paddington is not the same as the 10:15 on a Sunday.

I update pages when routes change, prices shift, or I find a better option. If a page has a date stamp, that's the last time I verified everything on it.
